Camp - Midday, Spring 2021: This is my fourth day here, so far it seems okay. Most of the infected are dead in this particular area, though this area is full of "my last resort panic-cabins". I hate those places, because you never know if they're empty, or filled with a family of infected. The problem is that those cabins usually have really good supplies, so you can't just leave them, you gotta go in and clear them out. It's just a waste to leave them.

All the links under Game Mechanics on Background are now live. A few of the individual skills under Skills and Challenges won't be up until tomorrow or this weekend, but all the tricky stuff is there. All kinds of people have managed to earn the title of Survivor. Some through preparation, some through skill, many through blind luck.
Our character creation and advancement system is designed to avoid saddling you with "useless" skills - if it costs points, it's worth it. But your skills, or your resources, do not define you. Are you brave or cautious, practical or ambitious, cynical or optimistic? Everyone had a life, hopes and dreams before it all came crashing down. Some people became important, some fell from lofty heights. Some are driven to find meaning - or at least understanding - in these disasters, some are just trying to get by with what they have.
The Infected are all the same (or are they?), but in the new reality, every Survivor is different and important. Who are you going to be?
